O'Sweesh Troubleshooting & Maintenance Guide

Osweesh Troubleshooting & Maintenance Guide

Most issues can be fixed in a few minutes at home. Work through the simple steps below before requesting a return. If your Osweesh still isn’t working after this checklist, we’re happy to help you with repair or replacement.

Quick safety & power check

  • Make sure the device is switched off before you inspect or clean it.
  • Use only the original charging cable and adapter or an equivalent high-quality charger.
  • Plug the charger into a stable wall outlet (avoid low-power USB ports).
  • Charge the device continuously for at least 4 hours before testing again.

Common issues & quick fixes

A. Device will not turn on

  • Confirm the power outlet works by testing another device.
  • Connect the Osweesh charger and let the device charge for a full 4 hours.
  • After charging, unplug and press the ON/OFF button once.
  • If it still does not power on, please contact support.

B. No water or very weak water jet

  • Turn the device off and remove the water tank.
  • Rinse and refill the tank with clean, lukewarm water.
  • Ensure the tank is firmly locked into place.
  • Remove the nozzle tip, rinse it under running water, and reinstall securely.
  • If your unit has multiple modes, choose Standard or High mode.

C. Strong “thunderstorm” / ozone smell

The Osweesh uses an ozone generator to help disinfect the water. Ozone naturally has a fresh “after a thunderstorm” smell. This is normal at low levels.

  • If sensitive to ozone smell, use ozone mode only 2–3 times per week, ideally at night.
  • To turn ozone off, press and hold the MODE button for 5 seconds.
  • To turn ozone back on, press and hold the MODE button again for 5 seconds.

D. Device feels hot, smells burnt, or vibrates abnormally

  • Stop using the device immediately and turn it off.
  • Disconnect from power and allow the device to cool.
  • Do not open or attempt internal repairs.
  • Contact Osweesh support with a short description or video.

Self-cleaning & routine maintenance

After each use

  • Empty the water tank completely.
  • Rinse the tank with clean water.
  • Run the device for 5–10 seconds with clean water to flush the internal lines.
  • Wipe the exterior dry and store upright in a cool, dry place.

Weekly deep clean

  • Mix 1 part white vinegar with 3 parts warm water.
  • Fill the tank halfway with this solution.
  • Run the flosser for 20–30 seconds, then let it sit for 5 minutes.
  • Empty and rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water.
  • Run a full tank of clean water afterward to flush any remaining vinegar.

Nozzle care

  • Remove the nozzle tip once per week.
  • Soak in warm water for 5–10 minutes; add a small amount of vinegar if needed.
  • Rinse thoroughly and reinstall before use.
